lyrics

The Mitchell Meteor
What they call you
The Stratford Streak
Playing shinny across the frozen River Thames

After the army learns your age
Off to the railway
Bet the horses
Strumming ukeulele

Howie snapped a stem
Never would he mend
Broken heart bestilled by little death

Lions of March slaughter the lamb
They say the whiskey was on the dresser
The beer underneath the bed

Howie snapped a stem
Never would he mend
Broken heart bestilled by little death
